Friday, 9.23.16

It’s the provocative drama about Masters & Johnson WHO were real-life pioneers in the science of human sexuality.  This season the story picks up with their work in the late 60’s. Series co-star Lizzy Caplan who portrays Virginia Johnson told me there are some fascinating arcs for her character on MASTERS OF SEX.

The new season of MASTERS OF SEX continues Sunday night on SHOWTIME.

It’s a remake of the 1960 classic about seven gunmen in the old west who gradually come together to help a poor village against an army of savage thieves.  Denzel Washington plays the bounty hunter who brings the whole crew together in the action remake THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN.

Costarring Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke, THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN opens today.

Thursday, 9.22.16

Oscar winner Jared Leto, set to star as Andy Warhol in a new biopic.  Titled WARHOL, the film will be based on the Victor Bockris biographical novel which came out a couple of years after the pop artist’s death in 1987.  Writer of THE SOPRANOS and THE WOLF OF WALL STREET Terence Winter will pen the script for the project. while both he and Leto will produce.

In a world where storks have moved on from generations of dropping off babies, the winged couriers are now responsible for parcel transport.  But when a baby appears at the distribution center, one top bird and his human sidekick are forced to deliver the bundle of joy before anyone else finds out.  Andy Samberg stars in the animated adventure STORKS.

Costarring Katie Crown and Kelsey Grammer, STORKS arrives in theaters tomorrow.


Wednesday, 9.21.16

It’s a reimagining of the popular action franchise about a mismatched pair of L-A Detectives forced to become partners and destined to be the best of friends.  Damon Wayans takes over the role made famous by Danny Glover and REMINDS OF THE DUO’S DYNAMIC IN THE reboot series LETHAL WEAPON.

LETHAL WEAPON premieres tonight on FOX.

She’s a young girl, living in poverty in Uganda.  But when Phiona is introduced to the game of chess by a local missionary, he soon realizes the girl’s potential to be among the best in the world.  David Oyelowo (oh-yell-oh-woh) costars in the biographical drama QUEEN OF KATWE (kot-way).

Introducing Madina Nalwanga (muh-dee-nuh nahl-wahn-guh) and costarring Lupita Nyong’o, QUEEN OF KATWE opens on Friday.
