If there’s a fashion goddess looking down on this world, she’s for sure blessing the 2018 Met Gala.
On Nov. 8, Vogue, the official partner for the Met Gala, announced and confirmed that May’s 2018 Met Gala theme will be “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.”
“Designed to create a dialogue between fashion and the masterworks of religious art in the museum’s holdings, the show will be presented in a trinity of locations: the Anna Wintour Costume Center, the medieval galleries at the Met’s Fifth Avenue location, and further uptown at the Cloisters,” Vogue wrote.
Just as important as the Met Gala theme reveal—next year’s show is titled “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”—is the announcement of Anna Wintour’s cohosts. Taking over the duties carried out last time around by Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams, Gisele Bündchen, and Tom Brady are three women who are as talented as they are glamorous: Amal Clooney, Rihanna, and Donatella Versace.
The big question, of course, is what will they wear?
